Hi!
My name is Jan, I'm from Lodz, Poland. I'm a graduate of Cinematography Department in Lodz Film School. During my studies I've gained quite wide experience shooting several dozen projects - narrative, documentary and commercial. I've been shooting both in Poland and abroad: in Haiti, Azarbaijan, Lithuania and Austria. My etudes and films I made as a cinematographer were presented at festivals such as Camerimage or Gdynia Film Festival. In 2016 I received a Ministry of Culture Scholarship for outstanding achievements in art. I visited Los Angeles and Holywood-based film companies at the invitation of the Polish Film Festival in LA offered to selected students from Polish film schools. I've shot commercial project for such clients and brands as Dacia, 4F, PKO BP, Sephora, USP Zdrowie, Huawei, Head&Shoulders, Cartoon Network, RTV Euro AGD, 4F or PKP PLK S.A. I've also DOPed "Lewandowski Unknown", a documentary feature about Robert Lewandowski released in 2023 by Amazon Prime.
I'm an outgoing, fun guy. I live in the old house in the suburbs and drive youngtimers. I love Lodz, football (I competed for Widzew Lodz for ten years) and my wife. I'm interested in history of my hometown and history of art. My favourite painter is Piet Mondrian (see: my logo). I'd like to kindly invite everybody to cooperate with me!
